I found a feral cat with kittens in my backyard. The kittens seem to be about 4-5 weeks old (maybe older). I contacted Tree House and they told me to trap all of them including the mother and bring them into my house to allow for the mother to continue to care for them. Unfortunately, I cannot have cats in my house. I don't really know anything about cats. I'm looking for advice on what to do or someone who knows about what to do to possibly take them. Please help... Thank you!

  • I don’t know tree house but the last thing you want to do is bring a feral cat in the house. That is crazy advice. What I would do is find a cardboard box and put an old blanket or towels in there to make it comfy and put a dish of milk and some treats so the cats go in there. The box should be on its end so the cats can walk in and out easily. Frankly I would love something like this, because feral cats keep away rats.

  • We have been looking to adopt a kitten. Text 708-622-5909 (google voice number) if interested in talking/letting us come see the kittens when they are weaned. We live in the humboldt park neighborhood. Thanks!

Have you posted this on your neighborhood FB page? There might be some takers for to foster the cat and kittens. I'm guessing Tree House suggested you bring them in so they can be socialized and fixed.
