Halloween is just around the corner!

Where are the most popular blocks for trick-or-treating? Are any blocks doing anything cool that neighbors would want to check out this coming weekend or on Monday evening?

I attended last year and my then almost 2 yr old son had a lot of fun. It's directly off the el at Jarvis station.

    I will be going again.

    They also need volunteers:

    see below

    Dear Roger Park Parents,
This years Halloween event will happen on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 4-6 pm I have already asked Lifeline Thearter, Charmers Café, and Alderman’s Moore office to contribute. I need more suggestions and help!!!! I can not do this event alone only with your help to make this years event as successful as last years.

    Areas that I need help:
!Cookie Decorating- Charmers Café is donating the yummy cookies again this year. Just need donations of tables and chairs. Also help with running the table.

Face Painting- Donations of tables and chairs, also need face paints. If you are decent at this ability please contact me.

Arts Crafts- Children enjoyed making arts and crafts. Donation of materials, idea for this years craft, and tables and chairs.

Carnival Games- Fun family idea. Make your own carnival game then run it! We will supply the prizes you just supply the game.

Apples: Help give out apples to children!

Set up - Need help starting at 3pm to close down street, get tables set up, and get things organized.

Clean up- Need help tearing down everything by 7pm.

You don’t have to be there to volunteer just donate items listed above!!!

Hey i figure I would put this is the happy thread.
I noticed that today the new lights on Morse are all on from Wayne/Lakewood to Sheridan. Good. In time for Halloween.

Besides eye/ears/whole heads and bodies, Lights really help with public safety and esp with Halloween.

Anyone know if the kiddies will be trick or treating after the event on Sunday? or are they being encouraged to wait until Monday. Just want to be prepared since I live on Jarvis right down the street.
