Hi Everyone,

In preparation for winter, our 501(c)(3) organization builds 100 feral cat houses every year. We believe it is up to us to help protect the cats in our community and they need the protection from our harsh Chicago winters. These houses are the life and death difference in our communities' cats lives. The cost per house is $30.00. However, If you buy in bulk (3) or more, we will sell them for a reduced rate of $25.00 per house. We will only be accepting cash or check written out to Whiskers & Tails. The money raised from these shelters goes directly back to the cats in our community for Trap-Neuter-Return and Trap-Neuter-Adopt vetting. These shelters will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis (No Holds). So try to get yours early! You can get them at our friend's wonderful establishments during these following days and times;

    Great cause! This is a great way to help out furry friends make it through the winter and is a great alternative in controlling rodent problem.

    I built one myself last year and it was stolen. Do you find this happens to yours? (I even wrote on it that it was a cat shelter).

  • Jasmine,

    Please go to our facebook page and message us. Thanks!

  • GEC

    Hi there,
    I would be interested, but how do I know a feral cat will actually use it? I'm more worried about it attracting rats versus a cat. Would love any advice you may have!

  • GEC, they always use them. Warm resources in the cold weather are scarce. Also, if you throw a little catnip in it they will go in. I have never had a rat use one of my shelters. Please feel free to go to our facebook page and message us so we can converse there https://www.facebook.com/whiskersandtailsrescuefoundation/
