Another eyesore and another instance of selling public assets. Not a problem it will all be forgotten come election time allowing the same problems to be re-elected.

VOTE THEM OUT! Term limits are needed for Mayor and Alderman positions...REFORM!!
We the people should of had enough by now..will we show it on election day?

  • This alderman is a joke. When he knows he's going to face strong opposition, he does the deal and then has the meeting. What a weak, weak person.

  • Remember all this when you vote next time...
Mayor and Alderman have to go...

  • So the deal was signed in 2012, what power would an alderman have to stop a sign from being put up in their ward? Honest question.

  • Jeffrey Littleton If you can't be a poet, be the poem.

This is what it looks like when Mayor Rahm sticks it to an entire neighborhood.

  • Gary, this is from the article: Under the terms of the billboard contract, the city is obligated to either honor the location or find another site which meets the comparable worth clause in the billboard contract.

So either the city or the alderman are not interested in trying to find an alternative location.

  • Our Alderman voted against this deal when it was up in the city counsel. His hands are tied by the other Aldermen who approved this deal. Though I am not a fan of going down to 1 lane, this is what a compromise looks like. At least there will remain 2 way traffic through the area.
