Solid, established residential neighborhood with beautiful old homes. Close proximity to downtown. Walking distance to multiple modes of public transportation (airport and downtown). Dog friendly. Good friends and neighbors.
C-Manny's (for margaritas - my fav) , La Villa (excellent pizza and I am a pretty hard core Chicago deep dish / Lou Malnati's fan), Smoque (so delicious I am convinced it's laced with something), Bread and Wine (fancy dining in the hood), Sabatino's (so retro it's hip and Sat nite piano is a blast), McNamaras (breakfast is the best, but requires a risky run across Irv Park rd.), #1 Chop Suey (once a week dinner, a block away, good grub, nice people).
