Why Jesus Garcia?

Since Fioretti has consistently backed CTU and has a long record of being pro education and garcia did nothing for education, why did Karen Lewis back Garcia? What's the real back story?

    WLR,

Nothing I said precludes race hustling. Its call Identity politics. I mentioned it above. They know people are more likely to identify with someone of their race. Like I said before the people have to see their candidate as qualified. They don't vote for some random unqualified candidate just because of their race. Like I said above race can be the tie breaker. If Gery Chico, Chuy, or Gutierrez ran they would be seen as qualified and would have a large Hispanic following. Jesse Jr, candidate #5 to some, would have had a large AA following.

Identity politics in itself is not bad. Monitory candidates use to try and reach higher office. It helps to be able to get a loyal following without have to spend a great deal of money. Especially when you may be at a funding disadvantage.

The CTU may have made a strategic decision by picking Chuy. They may see a candidate with the potential to have a base of followers without expending large some of money to get him introduced.

Remember, because he is not your preferred candidate does not mean others don't see him a equally qualified.
