Halloween Events

Hi, I recently moved to Dearborn Park II with my family. I was wondering are there any events scheduled for the children in the neighborhood for Halloween? Like a costume parade, party, trick or treating or pumpkin craving? If not I would like to volunteer to help get started, are there other parents or families interested in getting this started or letting me know if these events are already in place? Thanks
J. Hayes

  • Dearborn Park is the best, maybe only, place around for old-fashioned, door-to-door, trick or treating.

  • There is usually a fun costume parade for children organized by the Prairie District Neighborhood Association (around 18th & Prairie) if that's not too far south for you.

How Could They Get Dirty This Fast?

Wanted to have a Jimmy Johns for lunch today.

This location on Roosevelt, under the "L" tracks, has only been open about a year. But now they're shut due to vermin.

  • That's Jersey Mike's, not Jimmy John's. It might be respectful to JJ's to edit your original posting to reflect this.

  • Brian McCarthy Waiting for the Sequel to the Big Lebowski

You're right it's Jersey Mikes. Can't seem to edit posts.
