Water Shut Off on E Elm Street , Saturday, 3/28

Memo from condo management advising that City of Chicago is shutting off all water on the entire block of E Elm St, from State-LSD, tomorrow, 3/28, from 2p.m.-8p.m. in order to accomodate the new development on State/Elm. WHY DIDN'T CITY POST NOTICES ON THE ENTIRE BLOCK FOR PUBLIC ??? Why was notice not posted on every residence? I think the city certainly could have done a better job informing those of us who live here. We have no Aldermanic representation at this time... thanks to a run-off, BUT, the city should be doing a better job .. this isn't just about new projects... city has ignored the fact that the public now is forced to walk in traffic as sidewalks around this new project have been taken over by heavy equipment. Beer cans, etc. left around the area. Parking without proper permit is an ongoing issue due to this construction. Now, a water shut down for hours means no heat, no plumbing, etc.
