Agree! The people protesting at Cermak & Michigan late this afternoon were just punks there to provoke the police. The cops did a magnificent job as did Channel 5 reporters.

I have an iPhone with Verizon service and my ability to do certain things while at a game at Wrigley is spotty - sometimes things (i.e. uploading a photo to Instagram or Facebook) work quickly and other times it fails to upload. There seems to be no consistency to the service (or lack thereof). Overall though, reception across the city with Verizon is better than with AT&T.

nothing wrong w/ some good competition maybe.. Nhu Lan is often cited as being the best banh mi in the city. (ba le is probably the most popular, but i don't know if i'd call it the best ... and it's a chain).

I can't believe it took me so long to try Nhu Lan on Belmont, but I stopped in for the first time tonight, and it was fantastic. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, and at about $5, you can't beat the value. The staff were really friendly, too.

In the same alley, our garage was broken into and they broke a window in one of the cars.

It's a shame that this has to happen here. We do our best to have a nice neighborhood and no doubt outsiders come in and probally drunk or high decide to vandalize for a little fun.

Is your RFID chip registered through a service (such as HomeAgain)? They do a great job of sending emails out to their "Pet Rescuer" network.

True Story, I was Fined by the city for Cutting down an overgrown Weed in front of my house. It was there when I purchased my home.The plan was to plant a nice OAK Tree at my expense. But no no no, leave it to the city to fine me for cutting down the weed and trying to be green. Shame on you Rahm.

Really hard to get out of. I got ticket last year on a street where the only signs were about 1/2 block up and facing the opposite way on a 1 way street, so u couldn't see the sign. I took pics, luckily I had camera, and attempted to fight it, thinking for sure I wouldn't have to pay this. Nope! They made me pay the ticket!

If you are in the 44th ward, there's a new service you can sign up for that will alert you to street cleaning via text or email. I think it is also available in other wards, too.

Are you talking about Tai's? Why are you not naming the place? And if it's Tai's, what do they have to do with it??? Certainly not a gang hangout, lol!!! And my understanding is that the bartender at Tai's called 911....

I recently experienced this. My dog was barking constantly. He would hear a noise in the hallways and hear other dogs and bark. I was thankful that my neighbors talked to the condo association and told me of the problem. I purchased a bark control device and it worked. If you do not feel comfortable about talking to the owner directly, tell your condo association/landlord. 9 times out of 10 the owner will appreciate the notification. I certainly did not enjoy my dog's barking either.
