Come out and Interview the Candidates of the 7th Wards Individually

Strong local leadership on the Southeast Side of Chicago will be crucial the next four years. Come out and meet the candidates individually, with an organization you can trust. Get to know each one of them better one-by-one, ask the tough questions without distractions among the candidates such as the usual ugly debates, hostile exchange, etc. Just the community and the candidate in the room. Are you looking for the best speaker or the best Alderman? Our format will give you that. http://eepurl.com/bb7Unf

The U of C area is fine. It is close enough to South Shore that whatever progress it brings to Hyde Park will radiate outwards in the neighboring areas. South Shore is mainly residential, I'm happy to keep it that way. Revitalizing it means more people who contribute to community, good schools, more jobs. My bet is if that Lakeside Project can be developed and hopefully not fall through, the South side would really be a place we can feel we belong. But as of yet, let's keep doing the good that we do and build our community and each other.

Thank you all for your comments. Frankly, I thought if we couldn't get a grocery store we'd be a long shot for the library. At this point, I just want it somewhere on the South Side.
