West Loop HOA's and boards

I'd love to hear from some local people who have worked with your condo/HOA boards - whether you're done so as an owner or board member.

Trying to identify ways (best practices) that other buildings in this area have had, and the ways boards and residents have communicated with other residents.

Our building seems to have recurring issues in this department and I'd like to hear from anyone who has positive results to share from issues that your board/residents worked through.

How do you get updates? Has your board/residents identified frequently asked questions/recurring issues and posted those in an easy to find spot?

I know it's tempting to air grievances but I'd really like to hear positive ideas and resolutions here, if possible (we are beyond capacity for negativity and unpleasantness already in our group).

Thanks for your input!

The IMDC has been working for years to find a suitable project to fill nearly 9.5 acres of vacant land, hoping to bring more life to the district dominated by hospitals and medical facilities, and after a request for proposals, have approved this plan. The $300 million tab will be picked up by the project's developers. Construction is slated to begin in spring of 2015.
