Tree Trimming

Been on "wait list " TWO YEARS for overgrown and hanging branches on trees. 85th & South Seeley block. BLOCKING STREET LIGHTS. Fosters ongoing illegal drug sales.

  • The city's dept of forestry has been drastically cut. Tree trimming requests take at least 24-30 months. I called 4 alderman offices on the north side, just to see how long it takes I the "nicer" neighborhoods and they all told me the same thing: 2-3 years. Hopefully yours will be done this year. I'm sorry you've been waiting so long 😕

  • What a shame, it's a beautiful tree. We waited as well. Our tree is very tall and the branches were very close to our house and brushing against the windows. My husband and I trimmed it ourselves. Try calling the Alderman, or go to the ward office, sometimes they respond...

What a shame, it's a beautiful tree. We waited as well. Our tree is very tall and the branches were very close to our house and brushing against the windows. My husband and I trimmed it ourselves. Try calling the Alderman, or go to the ward office, sometimes they respond when they see a face. Report it to the police district, again in person works better. Sad we have to do work that we pay taxes for. I believe in getting involved but making homeowners jump through hoops to get basic services is wrong.
