Lets focus on the African American issues..

As an African American male, I have no problems with my Mexican male and female counterparts. They are doing the right things in pursuance of the American dream. For starters, "THEY" stick together, THEY build each other up, THEY trust each other, and finally,THEY are not commiting crimes in OUR neighborhood at RECORD LEVELS. I'm more concerned about my culture, hanging on the street corners, jeans hanging off thier asses, not going to school, NOT being productive citizens, but being USELESS & WORTHLESS..So that's my take on it. Personally, I would rather have a Mexican neighbor that's works for a living than a black neighbor on section 8,not working with a LINK card looking for handouts..IMHO.

  • NFord If you see black labs please return to me. haha

I would agree that comment was unnecessary. It's exactly what I was speaking about. It's easy to jump but that's not a solution. The shootings are out of control. I was thinking we should plastering the highest crime areas with billboards of victims of this violence, there mothers and family who loved them. Needs to be a very hardcore campaign because most of he kids there have seen many thing most of us in our life will not ever see. I'm not very religious but I do now when we have mass shootings they place crosses for each victim. It's very impactful when we see that. What if they placed the crosses for every shooting. I think there's something to be said for the kids who witness the bodies everyday. The victim is picked up and on to the next. Let's leave a marker a reminder this was a person. Due to Quinn's closing of many facilities when these kids are picked up on their first gun or gang offense they are sent home. This is not working! We have to realize street life has already got them, thug is cool. No matter what their home life is like good bad it doesn't help to send them home. What if they were taken out of the game on the first offense as a minor. Why not build boarding schools for these young folks, educate, train and show them there is a better life and money can be made without robbing and dealing. I know it's not gonna save them all but I do think it will save many. I know cost is a factor, but the cost of home monitoring, hospital trauma bills, court cost, victims impact, lost tourism revenue are just some places to start for funding. Takes a village to raise a child and right now it's a gang raising a child. As the village I could foresee many willing to volunteer at these boarding schools, with sports, resumes, basic every day living skills these kids haven't learned. I think getting our politicians to listen to community ideas will never happen. So many pieces to this puzzle.

Highlight his name and look at how many original post he made. All of his entries are comments; comments that are nasty and woefully inane . He has been muted more times than anyone on EveryBlock. One last point about this guy, he will talk about the candidate that I am backing with all kinds of woefully negative comments and he doesn't even live in this ward! His woeful lack of original comments make me wonder why he always use woe or woeful or woefully. Also, he is know as Casey Thomas, Casey CeeTee T and WillEnglewood. Don't be surprised by anything this guy says. If you ignore him, he just might go away.
