Shaquille Ross was found unresponsive in the street in the 6500 block of South Seeley Avenue about 4:30 p.m. with gunshot wounds to the upper torso and neck, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Two men were standing outside in the 2000 block of West 63rd Street when a black vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking both of them, police said.

Tonya Gunn, 44, was shot and killed at a barbecue in Morgan Park around midnight Monday when someone inside a car opened fire near West 110th Street and South Throop Street. Gunn was hit in the torso and arm. She died before emergency responders arrived.

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed around 2:20 a.m. Monday in the 8400-block of South Buffalo Street. Police said the victim was a documented gang member.

In a separate shooting in South Chicago, a gunman opened fire on three people walking near East 80th Street and South Muskegon Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Deandre Brown, 23, was in the 8700 block of South Houston Avenue about 10:20 a.m. when he was shot in the leg and abdomen, authorities said.

Brown, of the 9000 block of South Mackinaw Avenue, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:38 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.

Joel Bentley, 30, was in the parking lot on the southwest corner of West 63rd Street and South Austin Avenue just before 1 a.m. when he was shot in the abdomen, authorities said.

Bentley, of the 5000 block of South Keating Avenue, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:46 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.

A 32-year-old man was arguing with another male in the 300 block of South Halsted Street about 3:25 a.m. when he started to walk away and the other male shot him in the buttocks, police said.
