Two plans and lots of similarities between the two

I came across an article in the Tribune called, "A new plan of Chicago: 12 ways to heal our city", and it very similar to my own plan for the 28th ward. I encourage everyone to read the article (Chicago Tribune, Sunday, September 21, 2014). There are few differences, but they have more similarities.

I am committed to establishing a true middle-class, I am committed to establishing a strong business community, and I'am committed to investing in a growth in home ownership.

All the way up 'til now our local politicians has been anti-middle-class, anti-business, and anti-home ownership, to endorse these pursuits leads to competition and that's what they never wanted. But that is what we need, that is how we will grow. We must support the free market, this is a capitalist economy; therefore, we must participate in the capitalist economy.

Help me help us, this is the chance to get it right.

How do you propose to initiate and sustain your commitment to the middle-class. Oh yes, what is a middle-class? What is a free market? What bad politicians has (have) been anti-middle-class?

Going public with your position can be dangerous insofar as exposing what you don't or do know and possibly ain't got a clue.

Explain to us, for the edification of our liberation and in one or two syllable words, what is a "capitalist economy.

Give some examples of your vision and foundation to encourage genuine interest and potential participation in your ethos.

There is no doubt that the statistics bear out that the 28th ward is mismanaged. Whose fault is it? There is enough to go around. Voters need to take the primary responsibility because they elect the politician. This means that the majority of those who live in the 28th ward have voted in for 25 years or so a politician who drove the ward in to the ground. Where did the $$ go? Where did the progress go? Those are questions the Inspector General should have answered many many years ago. Nobody here has the hutzpa to use the legal mechanisms and bring down the house of cards. Talk is cheap. Action impossible to mobilize.

Technology, neuroscience, and the law will solve our problems. The departments involved for the last 40 years have failed us.

It is my desire to turn the page on the past, there is no good in it, I'll leave it to its respective party's. I believe that people can change for the best if they can just have a chance, I want to create the chances that has eluded us for so long.

Capitalist path

I'm know that the majority of the alderperson's job is to create policies; however, that work is part time work. I believe that we can modernize local politics by creating a private business that can sustain itself and create revenue for the 28th ward. The capitalist economy biggest success is the middle class and I don't think that has to change.

The goal is to secure 1/3 of the revenue from the creation of the Chicago Chess Association to fund need programs in the 28th ward, participants from around the city will be encouraged join and stay involved (that way we can create revenue and still stick to the tradition way of gathering funds).

Funds will be spent in five specific areas; namely, education, job creation, environmental improvement, housing exploration, and events.

I will strengthen community participation through the 49 precinct captains, 5 main captains, 5 professional from the academics, 10 collegiate students from areas of interest in relation to the 28th ward's growth.

Community participations will always be welcomed and encouraged.

Information will be gather to so that we can make inform decisions as to the best course for the ward.

Jobs

Job creation is key to establishing a good and healthy society, but rest assured the business leaders will be at odds with the current talks about raising minimum wages to $13.00; that is, they'll cry foul.

Small businesses will claim that their ability to make a profit puts them at a disadvantage due to an increase in workers wages.

If your experience is anything like my own, minimum wages as they currently stand is bitter sweet (yeah I'm employed, but I'm barely making things happen with what I have).

As always the case middle ground must be found and altered accordingly, I believe that current alderman lacks the necessary know how.

I will create a council of six to eight of the precincts captain and they will act in concert with collegiate students and professional in the academic world to conduct various activities to find the best solutions. Ever case is unique; therefore, we'll move methodically and gather the required data to endorse potential policy shifts.

We don't want businesses dumping ships because their afraid that they can't make a profit and we want to ensure people that we know that they're $8.50 a hour.

I write to inform you that we are currently in a crisis, in fact, we have always been in a crisis here in America, we are the only group that has come to this country in great numbers via the slave trade, followed by over a hundred years of Jim Crow law, and now institutional racism. One would think that our condition would have improved, on the contrary, we are in a crisis.

Our biggest problem has been that we have never recovered from our past, we have attached our past with our present and now we have become victims of opportunistic politicians who exploit it for their own personal gains. Let’s take responsibility for our future and leave our children with a great legacy in which they deserve, an honorable history with a promising future.

I mentioned that our institutions was bias against us; moreover, intra-racism is often never explored or mentioned at all, I think we should start having discussing about it because it’s one of the biggest aspect to our healthy development. I believe that we will find that our very own leaders are the culprits for practicing intra-racism tactics and have hijacked the political agenda here in Chicago to keep the masses of blacks at a disadvantage

I will build up relations to create jobs. I will institute a program that will promote business that you will establish, I will ever stay committed to education for children and adults, I will aggressively endorse technology, science, and I will maintain a world view perspective.

Our present condition is sad and embarrassing one, but we can change how other perceive us, this election of 2015 by voting Jason Ervin out and voting me into office and getting on the track of becoming the ward of excellence.

Loud Block Party past midnight

Are block parties permitted to have live amplified outdoor bands playing past midnight in residential neighborhoods?

I'm wide awake because of the extremely loud block party going on well past midnight in Little Village right now, near Cermak and Albany. My neighborhood has had other block parties with live music. I've never heard it so loud before, and all other parties have wrapped up around 11 at the latest. I called 911 but don't expect anything to happen.

The Obama Foundation announced the four finalists today; The Universities of Chicago, Illinois (UIC) and Hawaii, along with Columbia University in New York. For anyone who does not know, WE approached UIC to have a university component. We formed a partnership, now we are finalists!

Here is part of the Obama Foundation's statement:

“We were amazed by the quality of responses to our Request for Qualifications and we are grateful to every institution that expressed interest in carrying President Obama’s legacy forward,” said Board Chair Martin Nesbitt. “These four potential partners have come the farthest in meeting our criteria and have each demonstrated a strong vision for the future Obama Presidential Library. We look forward to working with each institution to further refine their proposals over the coming months, and to presenting our recommendations to the President and First Lady early next year.”
