Stop The Violence

I am glad to see winter is coming to an end, but I am sad to see summer approaching, because so much violence in the neighborhoods. Can we please stop the violence. Parents it starts with you. When you see something or know something turn your son in. I am from the old school, and I never though I would see the day where people are afraid to sit out on their porches. The children can't play outside because they might get shot. I am sick and tired of these young punks going around taking others people's lives.

Emanuel essentially says ‘I told you so’ about speed cameras

Beale’s ward is home to Chicago’s most prolific speed camera at 445 W. 127th along the Major Taylor Bike Trail. Since Nov. 30, it has generated $289,025 in fines ($79,612 of them paid) after spewing out 2,696 $100 tickets and 555 tickets at $35 a pop. That followed 55,260 warning notices.

  • Don

Don't expect Rahm to get a part time job to cover the loss in expected fines. He will find another way to get money out of the poorest Wards in the city because he is unwilling to tax the richest.

RUDE NEIGHBORS

What can be done about a rude neighbor who parks their cars in front of your walk way. After we spend time digging out two parks for us, The neighbor and her daughter pulled up in the parking space. They have gotten into with some of the neighbors on the block about that. They just don't get it!!!!

  • Ughh!!! I hate when people just don't have common courtesy. I would call the police immediately. You probably don't want to do it because people now-a-days retaliate; HOWEVER, I've been in a situation with rude a$$ neighbors and I couldn't take it anymore and got the police involved. If they have gotten into with neighbors about this situation, then yeah, they don't give a darn..maybe a couple of tickets will wake their butts up.

I would like to see and hear what others say though :)
