PROPOSED ROUTE: Pre-race, the runners are staged in the field NE of Montrose Dr/Simonds Dr and Montrose Harbor Dr. Prior to the start, runners proceed NW on Simonds Dr to the Start Line. The Start Line is at the overpass S of Simonds Dr and Wilson Dr. MILE 1-2: RUNNERS PROCEED NORTH ON SIMONDS DR (both sides of street), PAST WILSON DRIVE AND LAWRENCE DRIVE INTERSECTIONS, TO THE BIKE PATH JUST EAST OF FOSTER AVENUE AND LAKE SHORE DRIVE. RUNNERS TURN NORTH ON BIKE PATH JUST BEFORE EXIT LANE TO NORTHBOUND LAKE SHORE DRIVE. AID STATION #1 IS LOCATED NORTH OF FOSTER DRIVE, NEXT TO THE BASKETBALL COURT MILE 2-3: RUNNERS PROCEED NORTH ON BIKE PATH TO EAST-WEST PATH JUST SOUTH OF BRYN MAWR AVENUE. RUNNERS PROCEED EAST ON PATH, AND TURN SOUTH ON CONCRETE PATH ALONG FOSTER BEACH. RUNNERS PROCEED SOUTH ON PATH, THEN TURN EAST AND FOLLOW THE PATH ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF FOSTER BEACH PARKING LOT. AID STATION #2 IS ON PATH JUST NORTH OF PARKING LOT. RUNNERS PROCEED SOUTH ON PATH ALONG THE LAKE SHORE TO LAWRENCE DRIVE. RUNNERS CROSS LAWRENCE DRIVE ON PATH, THEN PROCEED SOUTH ON PATH, CROSSING DRIVEWAY CONNECTING THE BOAT LAUNCH TO THE PARKING LOT. RUNNERS THEN TURN EAST, CROSSING LAWRENCE DRIVE AGAIN AND PROCEED SE ON PATH TO THE FINISH LINE. FINISH LINE IS LOCATED ON PATH JUST WEST OF MONTROSE BEACH HOUSE. POST-RACE PARTY IS LOCATED IN THE SAME FIELD WHERE RUNNERS STAGED AT THE START, THE FIELD NE OF WEST MONTROSE DRIVE/SIMONDS DRIVE AND WEST MONTROSE HARBOR DRIVE |
