  • Thank you, Julia! Do you know anything about a GSD found near Belmont/Christiana? I'm trying to figure out if it's Ryan!

  • BUCKTOWN--- RYAN IS STILL MISSING: We really need all the help we can get. It would be so greatly appreciated if a few of you could print off and post signs. Every bit of spreading the word will help us find Ryan.

Here is the link for the flyer:

    Thank you so much!!

I printed some off, I will cover Paulina between Division and Milwaukee plus the cross street. Let's get Ryan home!

  • Julia Rohan Small business owner, pet lover, + good neighbor.

EVERYONE! Ryan was spotted at Chicago and Halsted, around Division!!!

  • Shandy The "other" 1st Ward

Oh my! I work right on Chicago and Halsted. Will go for a walk at lunch and inform my co-workers. I can post some flyers also.

  • Thank you, Shandy!!

  • She's been in the Goose Island industrial area for a couple days now. Any flyering and actually talking to people should be directed around that area!

  • Ryan has been found and is at home with her moms! She is safe and sound!!

  • Y'all should know that it was the flyer-ing that got Ryan home! Someone left a flyer at a sandwich shop in the area just after someone had called Animal Care and Control, put it all together, and called me, so I could get to her instantly. It was amazing community work that made it happen y'all. I can't thank you all enough.

  • i'm new to this site and what i just read about (Ryan-dog) touched my heart that was so beautiful how people came together to get her back home.

  • This site is perfectly appropriate to post lost dogs, Michael.

  • Michael Bucktown Resident

i hope they find. And no it's not.

?? There's a whole section for "pets". How could you say that? What better way to alert your neighbors than this website? There is no room for opinion here. The section labeled "pets" means that you are just wrong.

  • Michael Bucktown Resident

    Apparently they found the dog.

Yet your debris (and mine too) lasts.

  • Actually WE found our dog, which you would know if you read the comments. This "debris" lets people (who actually care) know that the dog was found if they happen to see a leftover flyer and check back to the post. That's exactly the purpose of a community forum like EveryBlock. There's no need to be rude.

  • I think that's just the schtick. Sadly, some people are just born miserable and angry.

I'm really glad you found Ryan and I can only hope my fellow EB neighbors are just as helpful should my four-legged friend and I get in a bind.

  • Just a neighborly suggestion, Michael...if you're not interested in the "pet" section, then maybe it's just best if you stay off of it? There are plenty of people who *are* interested and will continue to post on *this* site because it is actually very appropriate - by definition, really , as Lynda Lobo already established.
