    On Saturday night, 10-year-old Martell Jones, of the 4800 block of West Cortez Street, died after being hit by a car in Chicago's Austin neighborhood. Jones was in the street in the 4900 block of West Chicago Avenue, about five blocks from his home, when he was struck at 7:40 p.m., police spokesman David Banks said. Police said the incident was not a hit-and-run.
