Yesenia Diaz was 17 when she allegedly suffocated her brother Ricardo, stuffed his body into a white garbage bag and put it into a garbage can in a Little Village alley. Several witnesses testified Monday, including a scavenger who found Ricardo's body and witnesses who saw Diaz in the hours after the killing, when she told conflicting stories about what had happened.

The blast blew tiles off the restaurant's ceiling and shattered a pane of bulletproof glass, according to the restaurant's manager.
