Joaquin Martinez, of the 5100 block of South Western, was found unresponsive in the 2000 block of West 18th Street on Friday, the Cook County medical examiner's office said. An autopsy determined Joaquin died of head injuries from blunt force trauma and child abuse. The death was ruled a homicide.
