The state of Illinois announced a $1.14-million subsidy to dairy company Fonterra USA Inc., which has previously said it was relocating its headquarters to Rosemont from Pennsylvania, leasing about 21,500 square feet at Columbia Centre III at 9525 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Fonterra has also leased space at 5511 N. Cumberland Ave., where the company plans to move a research facility currently located in Mexico.

Bike shelters to be built at 4 CTA train stations
Amid high gasoline prices that are encouraging more people to use public transportation, the shelters will be built at stations in neighborhoods most frequented by cyclists, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation. These are the Midway Airport station on the Orange Line, the Sox-35th Street station on the Red Line and the Jefferson Park and Damen Avenue stations on the Blue Line.
