Shortly before 9 p.m., Burbank police got a 911 call from the Budget Inn Motel, 8450 S. Cicero Ave., a few miles south of Midway Airport. As officers stood outside a second-floor room trying to make contact with the occupants, shots were fired from inside the room, authorities said.

Nearly two years after 14-year-old Willie Williams III was shot while leaving a South Side movie theater, a $7,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of his killer. On April 1, 2006, the Robeson High School junior was shot in the head in the parking lot of the Ford City Mall in the 7600 block of South Cicero. He died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
