Herman Wells, 25, of 3024 W. Jackson Blvd. was fatally shot near his Garfield Park home early Sunday at West Jackson and South Sacramento boulevards. He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 8:32 a.m. Wells was sitting in a car when he was shot in the head about 2:15 a.m., police said.
