    A battery occurred on the 6th floor psychiatric ward of Illinois Masonic Hospital, 836 W. Wellington, at 9:30 a.m. on June 24, police reports say. The offender and the victim, whose names were not included on the police report, were both talking on the telephone in the ward's common area when the incident began.

    A burglary occurred on the 400 block of W. Diversey on June 17 at 10:20 p.m. Police reports say that the 28-year-old male victim woke up on the couch and saw a middle aged man in sweat pants going through the desk in the corner and holding a steak knife.

    A robbery occurred on the 4600 block of N. Racine on June 17 at 4:19 p.m. According to police reports the 53-year-old victim was approached by a man described as being in his 40s and wearing a shoulder length black wig, a black jacket, and blue jeans.

  • 1014 W. Roscoe Man claims cop stole $500

    Keith D. Kristinat, 26, of 1014 W. Roscoe, was arrested for reckless conduct on the 3600 block of N. Clark on June 21 at 3:22 p.m., while leaving the Cubs/Sox game. According to the police report Kristinat was pushing through the crowd, dragging a female friend, when he attempted to push pass a police officer, who was directing a bus through the crowd at the time.

  • 1700 block of W. Barry Man claims cop stole $500

    A man committed fraud while two others attempted a burglary on the 1700 block of W. Barry on June 17 at 12:45 p.m. Police reports say that while the 88-year-old female victim stood outside her house discussing a job with a man claiming to be a repairman, two other men went through her house.

    The 18-year-old employee of a ticket broker says the incident occurred on the 3600 block of N. Clark Street on June 19 at 2 p.m. The police reports say the alleged victim had received the $500 dollars the day before to purchase Cubs/Sox tickets for the game on June 20.

    A vehicular hijacking occurred on the 3700 block of N. Marshfield on June 21 at 5:15 a.m. According to the police report, three men between the ages of 20 and 25 attacked two men delivering newspapers in their car.
