    The money would go to purchase the 37-acre Michael Reese Hospital site. If the city does not win its bid for the 2016 Olympics, the amount paid to site-owner Medline Industries of Mundelein would rise to $90 million, Chicago Planning Commissioner Arnold Randall said.

    The baby was found between 2 and 2:30 a.m. in the courtyard of a four-story apartment building in the 4600 block of North Beacon Street on the city's North Side. Chicago Fire Department officials said a resident heard crying and found the baby in a plastic grocery bag.
