The teen was identified as Rakeem Nance of the 1900 block of South Troy Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Police said Nance was shot in the right lower back by an officer.

Rakeem Nance, of the 1900 block of South Troy, was shot in the 1900 block of South Christiana. He was pronounced dead at 11:32 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital. An autopsy Friday revealed Nance suffered a gunshot wound in his back.
