The shooting took place at about 9:25 p.m. on the 1300 block of East 62nd street, police said. The man was shot in the leg and the stomach and transported in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

One shooting victim was taken from 69th and Ashland to Advocate Christ Medical Center and another from 69th and Justine Avenue, a block east, to Holy Cross Hospital, said Kevin MacGregor, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman. The calls came about five minutes apart, he said.
