Fire forces high school evacuation

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Fire forced evacuations at a school building on Chicago's South side Tuesday.

Thick smoke could be seen pouring from Englewood High School at 6201 S. Stewart, Chicago, around 10 a.m.

The building is home to two schools - Urban Prep and Team Englewood. Students from both were safely evacuated.

The small fire was contained to wrestling mats in a locker room. No one was injured.

Students from Team Englewood later resumed classes. Students from Urban Prep were sent home for the day.
