CHICAGO (WLS) -- The man accused of killing Chicago Police Officer Nathaniel Taylor Junior over the weekend has been denied bond.
Lamar Cooper, 37, is accused of first-degree murder. Cooper allegedly shot and killed Officer Taylor on Sunday as Taylor was trying to serve a search warrant in the 7900-block of South Clyde.
Police say Cooper opened fire even though Taylor's police badge was in view. Police returned fire and wounded Cooper.
Cooper is hospitalized in stable condition.
