Skeletal remains linked to 2006 murder

Fox Lake man’s bones found on South Side

Family members never found Jesse Beskow when they searched for him two years ago to tell him that a hit-and-run driver had killed his father in New Mexico.

If what investigators believe is true, Beskow himself was already dead by then—shot in the head during a party in Palatine on July 25, 2006, authorities said Monday.

Beskow’s body was stuffed into the trunk of a car and driven to the Far South Side of Chicago, where it was hidden in an isolated area among high weeds, police said.

The father of a 24-year-old who attended the party led police last week to the location in the 11000 block of South Stony Island Avenue, authorities said.
