More than 150 U.S. Olympic athletes appear on 'Oprah'
As red, white and blue streamers fluttered around them, more than 150 U.S. Olympic athletes appeared Wednesday at a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show.
In a push to help Chicago host the 2016 olympics, the show was aired at Millennium Park at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
Fans, many of whom stood in line for tickets on Saturday, arrived as early as 4 a.m. in hopes of front-row seats.
Winfrey interviewed eight-time gold medalist Michael Phelps and the rest of the swimming team.
The show also featured gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson, swimmer Dara Torres, Kobe Bryant and the men's basketball team, and the women's and men's volleyball teams.
The season premiere will air on Monday.
