CHICAGO (WLS) -- A water main break made a mess at a school on Chicago's Southwest Side Monday morning.
When students arrived at the Sumner Math and Science Academy they found water surrounding the entrance to one of the school buildings.
The water main was located in the basement and school workers had some trouble shutting it off.
Eventually the water flow was stopped and school officials are trying to determine how much water damage there is.

All students were moved to a second building that remained dry so class work will not be interrupted.
Sumner students will be moved to two nearby schools if the damage turns out to be extensive.
