Teen Shot in McDonald's Parking Lot Dies
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
A South Side man is dead after being shot in a McDonald's parking lot Saturday afternoon near his Canaryville home.
Isaiah Walker, 18, of 604 E. 50th St., was shot at East 47th Street and South Cottage Grove Avenue and was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m. Sunday at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police responded to a shooting in a McDonald's parking lot at 740 E. 47th Pl. about 12:30 p.m. Saturday and found Walker with a gunshot wound "through the chest," according to a Wentworth District police sergeant. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Monday, the medical examiner's office said.
Police are searching for the gunman, described only as a black man between 19 and 21 years old, police said.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
