Aly's Posey Patch, which was at 654 W. Diversey for 21 years, moved to 112 W. Grand in March. Ray Hoffmann, one of two partners in the floral shop, said the move was necessary because of declining foot traffic and rising rent. Hoffman said he noticed foot traffic declining on the block about eight years ago. That forced Aly's to find an alternative to the hand-tied bouquets-with fresh flowers straight from Amsterdam-that were the bulwark of the business.
