    About 6:45 p.m. Monday, Miceli was heading north in the 900 block of North LaSalle Drive when a motorist opened a car door and the bicyclist crashed into it, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said. Miceli was thrown from the bike and then struck by a passing vehicle.
