On Sunday, a worker was killed at the factory and two others injured after apparently inhaling a chemical used to make chocolate. Geraldo Castillo, 30, of 1770 W. Olive Ave., apparently suffered from respiratory exposure to a chemical used in the process of making chocolate, police said.

Bicyclist hit by SUV after crashing into car door dies
About 6:45 p.m. Monday, Miceli was heading north in the 900 block of North LaSalle Drive when a motorist opened a car door and the bicyclist crashed into it, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said. Miceli was thrown from the bike and then struck by a passing vehicle.
