Thank you for this notice. Am unable to attend this WNA meeting--will be attending the rezoning of 600 Stratford Place instead. Hope you can provide update on the NATO impact on Lincoln Park after tonight's meeting. Always enjoy your thoughtful posts.

    Hi U.N.,

The gist of the impact on Lincoln Park will be directed towards those traveling around downtown/loop. There will be specific things like not bringing water bottles and/or backpacks on the L trains, otherwise the impact will be very little in Lincoln Park proper - we just wanted to clarify that for people as there is a lot of mis-information going around. Good luck on the 600 Stratford Place issue!

No water bottles or backpacks on the L? Do you mean the Metra?

What about Wiggly Field? What sort of changes are a foot at the dog park?

Hi L, Yes, I meant Metra - thank for catching that!

@AW - the Wiggly Field Advisory Board has recommended to expand the general area into the unused/blocked-off agility training area on the east side of the park. The advisory board thought that area was simply not being used and felt that it could be incorporated into the larger park to expand it and make it a nicer area.

It was also proposed to make a "green buffer" of trees along the entire L train side, remove dying trees and replace with even more new ones, resurface the asphalt, replace shrubs, add a few benches and generally improve the park. Lots of great ideas were put into this project.

BTW, there were 3 independent bids for the proposed project as recommended by WNA and it was presented to the Alderman for possible assistance with menu funds and park district assistance I believe. If anyone wishes to donate to the project, I can get you that information. The project is not final, but hopefully will be done this year!
