Ready, set, no pants: Underwear Run added to this year's Chicago Triathlon

Race check-in begins at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at Queen’s Landing, 500 S. Lake Shore Drive, along the lakefront. The costume contest starts at 6 p.m., then the race follows at 6:30 p.m.

    Ready, set, no pants: Underwear Run added to this year's Chicago Triathlon
    Boxers or briefs? Next weekend, the 35th running of the Chicago Triathlon kicks off with just that question, at least for some people. This year's Triathlon adds a little bit of nearly-naked fun to the physical festivities, with the addition of an Underwear Run on the Friday before the weekend's main event.

Free ice cream: Ben & Jerry's to pass out new 'pint slices' in Chicago this week

    There is no pool for both dogs and kids at Portage Park. In the dog park there is a plastic baby pool, but I would never let my child in that pool (think dirt, drool, hair, etc). There is a kid's pool in the pool area, however that is for humans only, no dogs.
