Rucker, of the 4700 block of South Forrestville Avenue in Bronzeville, was treated and released at Thorek Memorial Hospital for a facial bruise and right knee abrasion, according to court records.

Alfredo Reyes, 21, and David L. Rucker, 25, were each charged with felony aggravated battery and misdemeanor resisting arrest after prosecutors said they punched a police officer who was trying to get them back onto the sidewalk Saturday afternoon in the 500 block of North Michigan Avenue.

About an hour before Rucker and Reyes were arrested, Lookman A. Muhammed, 21, of Evanston, was arrested in the 900 block of North Michigan during protests and charged with misdemeanor battery and resisting.
