Why don't Police enforce CURFEW laws? They say they do. Betcha if you looked at the # of curfew arrests in high crime areas; there won't be many when put into context the # of curfew violations. Just going to the right corner liquor store they could get 10-20 on a slow night. Multiply that times 100 and you could get 1000-2000 curfew violations a district easily...nightly.

YES parents have a role. It is unrealistic to think that Bad Parents will rein in their children. It is impossible for Good parents to keep tab.

Leniency, glorifying rappers, gang culture, gang music, the streets raising children, parents and guardians turning a blind eye and most of the time thinking "my boy is a good boy."...the failure of churches, schools, dcfs, mentors, programs....

It is a very complicated issue and no one addresses this with the newest of technology and biotechnology.

ALL problems can be solved; just NOT the "Chicago way." As long as residents are GULLIBLE and believe the PR statements as opposed to really diving in and thinking w holistically...the CHICAGO way prevails and the city continues to disintegrate into rubble in the slums. We are in a new phase of "shoot em up." Lets use people walking down the streets for target practice.

There is enough blame for all of us to share. The biggest blame is for NOT voting. And then not voting responsibly. If we voted responsibly we would red, blue, red, blue, red, blue....but we don't and let one party rule for 50 years. These 50 years happen to coincide with 1/3 of the population migrating out. That is 1.2 million who have left. The biggest flight is black flight as indicated by the south and west sides being almost 70% vacant!!!!! These are demographics similar to Detroit and Gary, Ind our neighbor.

We vote for people we like or are the same color. We think that the candidate who espouses the most likeable Hope story can get the job done.

Typically when laws are enforced...order is restored...but that doesn't happen on the west or south side of Chicago that we can call SLAUGHTERHOUSES.

Are we on the verge of another war? Are troops headed towards Ukraine? What about our potholes and our need for military intervention on the South and West sides of Chicago????? No money for that...but plenty of money to meddle in foreign affairs.

American business with Peter Drucker threw out the blame game in the mid 1980s in business management. Here we are 30 years later and Chicago is still entrenched in vetting and posturing and infighting. These are all non productive activities. They keep emotions high and in a place where no problem solving occurs. They waste taxpayer dollars as more money is given to agencies who will NEVER fix the problem over and over for decades.

This indeed is complicated and debate in the fashion Chicago debates...does not solve problems at all. It only makes things worse.

Government 101...we need law and order. This is not going to happen as long as there is no accountability for BAD PERFORMANCE.

“It only takes a spark to ignite a flame.”

Pandora lives a regimented life within the underground tunnels of Sanctuary, a secluded community designed to outlast the raging violence outside its walls. Each inhabitant of Sanctuary has a purpose, a place, and a common enemy—the mysterious Outliers who live in the world above.

But after Pandora personally encounters two young Outliers, she starts to question all that has been taught to her. Is Sanctuary the safe haven she has always believed it to be, or a prison built on fear? As sides are chosen and truths shattered, Pan must ultimately decide between the life she knows and the one that is calling to her.

Using projections designed by Liviu Pasare to simulate the texting and gaming that is ever-present in Sanctuary’s techno-savvy world, this inventive adventure set in the near future is recommended for ages 9 (grade 4) and up.

SPANISH SPEAKERS WELCOME! We have Spanish supertitles at every performance.

ABOUT THE PROMETHEUS PROJECT
The Prometheus Project began when playwright Tom Arvetis and director Rives Collins visited several Chicago middle school classrooms and conducted a series of story circles with Adventure Stage’s West Town neighbors, utilizing the Greek myths of Prometheus and Pandora as starting points for understanding contemporary challenges within our community. Themes of power, violence, sacrifice and hope emerged as young people and families shared the daily struggles they experience. Out of these story circles, SPARK was born.

Relying heavily on the archetypes of the Hero’s Journey, ASC's goal with SPARK is to ask our audience to think critically about the responsibility we have to our neighbors and the courage it will take to move our communities toward a more imaginative, healthy and tolerant status quo.
