Landlords of the neighborhood...

Do you feel that you would like for other Landlords to know about high risk or evicted tenants that you have dealt with, that have left your apartments (or been removed) and have done damages and/or have not paid rent? Do you feel that you would like for other Landlords to know about high risk or evicted tenants that you have dealt with, that have left your apartments (or been removed) and have done damages and/or have not paid rent? These tenants then look for other apartments in the same neighborhood and do the same thing to the next Landlord and the next while they continue to stay in the same area so their kids can stay at the same school (at the Landlord's expense-hence "professional tenants"). This brings down the Landlords properties which can bring down the quality of the neighborhood. Wouldn't it be nice to blow the whistle on destructive, thieving type tenants. They are like roaches...they destroy your property and once they infest the neighborhood they are next to impossible to get rid of as they bring the rest of the neighborhood down.
ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

Landlords can and always should do a credit and background check. Sad reality is some just want the money. It is perfectly legal for them to do it. They can also have their property go through an agency to "weed" out people.Perhaps people even need to STOP renting to sec8....

They can also have their property go through an agency to "weed" out people.Perhaps people even need to STOP renting to sec8. There is NO mandate that forces people to do it. Many again, see it as fast money every month. And once in sec 8 is hard t get rid of..While there are many good people needing sec 8 help, they are just as many wh take advantage of. While they claim only 3 people, 10 move in and it becomes squatter heaven.

What about warning tenants about bad landlords? My landlord put duct tape on everything and got the cheapest people to fix things. I use to have a good landlord and then when the house changed hands everything went to hell. This was a nice looking house years ago and now it looks like it has been deserted. I remember I had to put coffee cans on the windowsill in the kitchen to catch the rain that was coming through the rotted window. Some people should not be landlords period. They don't care about the tenants and just collect their rent. My kitchen windows no longer leak, but now there is a crack in the bedroom ceiling and I have a bucket and two coffee cans in there. If I had the money I have left this apartment a long time ago.
