  • 5100 Block of N. Leavitt Another Lincoln Square shooting

    Chicago police shot and wounded a person tonight in the city's Ravenswood neighborhood. No officers were injured in the shooting around 9:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of North Leavitt Avenue, police said. Police spokesman John Mirabelli said officers shot a male suspect, but could offer no other details. A male was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Quention Curtis. He didn't have an age for the shooting victim. Independent Police Review Authority chief administrator Ilana Rosenzweig confirmed the shooting, adding that IPRA investigators were en route to the scene as of 10:20 p.m.
