Need Recommendations for part-time nanny or flexible childcare options

Hello, my husband and I are looking for a part time nanny ( 3-4 days a week) or child care facility beginning next spring. Does anyone have someone or a business they would suggest?

  • If you go on the dcfs website you will find a list of registered home daycares. I had more success here than the regular daycare. Walk around ur area, you'd be surprised how many home daycares there might be. Not sure if this is anything u are interested in

    Hi Monica,
I am going to message you about this; check your email.

Tipping Amount for Home Cleaners?

I just booked a cleaning service to clean my single family home. They have their work cut out for them because there are some places that haven't been cleaned in years. If the expected bill is roughly $250 and there are two maids- is there a standard tip amount I should include?

My house just got egged. Seriously. I'm perplexed by this random act. Is this common?

  • So, some kid just threw an egg at my side window. This means they had to walk into my side yard to do it. I'm starting to wonder what the deal is. I was told by a neighbor this morning that the cops were at a vacant building next door a few nights ago. Some kids were partying there. My husband thinks that these kids must think that we called the cops and are egging us in retribution. Retribution for something we had no involvement in. Fun times.

  • A&K

Stand in the backyard all night with a hose. Take turns with your husband and make it a game. Who ever soaks the kid first gets a prize o.o

Kidding btw, that will make it worse. Seriously....

Last day, get those hot deals. 22 yrs of stuff and it all goes...

Sun, Jul 20, 2014 10A- 4P

One way or the other (and the other is a guy hauling it away for dumping) this stuff has to go TODAY. So come on by and look at the fabulous collection of Hawaiian shirts, CDs, DVDs, books, tools, hardware, stained glass lites, and so much more as we empty our NorthCenter home of 22 years. Friday-Sunday (this weekend only).
Check out other pictures taken early in the week of the hardware and garden sections.

  • Don't be fooled into thinking the small tent and front porch is our only stuff. That's just where the Coach bags and womens boots are being sold. We needed the side yard, garage and the rear yard for all the stuff we're selling. :)

  • Joan M. Back in Lincoln Square and liking it.

Haha. This pic looks kinda like the entrance to a funeral home. If the funeral home awning were tilting to one side and had clothes hanging off it, that is.

Best of luck with your sale and move!
