Promising cheaper electric rates than Com-Ed. They tell you they can save you money by locking you into low affordable rates that won't change due to energy market fluctuations. Don't trust them don't give them any of your information, they will ask to see your electric bill, don't show them. Just politely tell them no thanks. In 2008 U.S. Energy Savings Corp. had a lawsuit filed against them by attorney general Lisa Madigan for deceptive business practices: promising customer lower rates and savings, even though customer didn't save anything and in many cases was paying twice the rate of previous bills. Now the company is name Just Energy instead of U.S Energy Saving Corp. which Just Energy being the parent company of Tara Energy...If its to good to be TRUE, then its probably not TRUE...warn your neighbors especially the seniors. - Shawn

Ryan, I understand you work for Tara Energy. But the fact is the company you work for has been in legal battles for deceiving customers in the past and then changed its name. Something you obviously are unaware of or just don't want to address, according to my earlier post. I was just warning my fellow neighbors about past practices of your employer. It's obvious you have more to gain than I do, when it comes to signing people up for Tara services. Everything I said about Tara is well documented online, if a person does their research. But knocking on somebodies door wouldn't allow anybody adequate time to investigate. ....And since I voted already, like the previous commenter stated, it's already on the ballot box asking Chicagoans do they want Chicago to bid for electricity. So we will see and good luck on that Door-to-Door thing... -Shawn

  • Pauline L Lover of napping and biking

A Tara Energy "representative" knocked on my door just now and gave me the same quick sales pitch, and pushed the idea of "registering with Tara". I opted out, and he left in a jiffy.

    Seemed so skivvy....Glad I didn't sign up!
