Valerie Davis, 42, of the 600 block of East 65th Street, and a mother of a 16-year-old son died as she was en route to the Dan Ryan Expressway on her way to her job as a shipping clerk at a suburban company. A 42-year-old man in the second car suffered minor injuries.
