Yes I'm one of those people. The ones who like facts and data over perception.
How many ways can one person avoid answering the same point?
Where are the actual positive public policy outcomes that the Daley's can take credit for?
I've listed in detail those policies that scholars agree were poor decision making.
So far you list nothing tangible.

63rd and King Drive Walgreens Closing?

First the Obama Library chooses Jackson Park now I'm sad to hear the Walgreens on King Drive is expected to close at the end of August. Chronic theft seems to be the reason. I have witnessed a man casually stroll out the door with a box fan at that location. It's a shame for the seniors in the area that need their prescriptions filled elsewhere.

With Obama Library Loss, Will Property Values Plummet In Washington Park?

Foreman, who has invested in property in the neighborhood since before the Olympics bid, said he will continue to work on developing residential and commercial projects in the neighborhood, like his plans for a data center in the former Schulze Bakery at 40 E. Garfield Blvd.

This article has 1 other Chicago location (Show)

“At the end the day, the area will be gentrified whether the library comes here or not,” said Daniel Habeel, CEO of the RTW Veteran’s Center, 5536 S. Martin Luther King Drive. “The announcement of the library isn't change the trajectory of the area.”

With Obama Library Loss, Will Property Values Plummet In Washington Park?
WASHINGTON PARK - Stakeholders in Washington Park are debating how bad the fallout will be after the Obama Foundation chose to put the presidential library in Jackson Park instead of Washington Park. On Wednesday, sources confirmed that the Obama Foundation has chosen Jackson Park over Washington Park for the presidential library, duplicating the dashed hopes of 2009 when Chicago's dreams of an Olympics centered around Washington Park ended.

This reminds me of the Olympics in the sense that many people seemed to feel Washington Park as the can't-miss-location. I would think development will continue, but probably at a much slower pace than before. What will Garfield and King look like five years from now? Probably the same.
