Why Jesus Garcia?

Since Fioretti has consistently backed CTU and has a long record of being pro education and garcia did nothing for education, why did Karen Lewis back Garcia? What's the real back story?

Please Lifetime Bridgeporter: spare me the American dream speech, when Daley from the 11th Ward, Madigan in 13th Ward and Burke in the 14th ward have enriched themselves and loyal White Irish people in Chicago, at the direct expense African Americans, who's own corrupt carpet baggers political leadership gorged themselves for decades, at the insidious table of democratic patronage politics, that is still controlled today by the White Irish mafia with a little help from plutocratic Jews..

Take a look at the board of directors of Navy Pier Inc, if you want to see where all the gangster white Irish boys are gainfully employed and being paid by your tax dollars.

    LB,

Race is not the deciding factor in people voting. They must think the person is qualified before they will take race into account. If not you would have had many AA candidates getting more votes against Daley.

Once they see a person is qualified then it can be a factor. The candidate would have probably been more active in that community and maybe even elected from that community. Its someone they will identify with. They are more likely to believe that person will keep their promise. In some cases its seen as a tie breaker between equally qualified candidates.

Its not just minorities that vote on race. Caucasian have used race/ethnicity to decide who to vote for and against.

Remember. Minority American are the only ones that notice when we are not represented in high profile positions. If we think our candidates are equally qualified but keep getting left out its hard to feel like we are truly being treated as Americans. At times we are asking American to look past our race and elect us to position we normally don't hold.
