Man, woman charged with attacking paramedics in Printers Row

Man And Woman Hit, Spit On Firefighters At Red Line Platform, Police Say

Paramedics walked toward the woman, Cherise Finley, but were cut off by Robert Adams, who punched the paramedics in the face and body before spitting on them, according to police. Finley, of the 1400 block of South Canal Street, then scratched the paramedics in the face, police said.

The two then fled the scene and were caught following a foot pursuit in the 900 block of South State Street, police said.

Adams, of the 270 block of West Harrison Street, and Finley were both charged with aggravated battery to a protected employee, a felony. They are due to make their initial appearance in court on Tuesday, police said.
