Man found shot to death in Rogers Park
CHICAGO -- Chicago police are on the scene of a man found shot to death in Rogers Park. His body was found behind a building in the 1400 block of West Jonquil Terrace. Police say the man, believed to be about 20 years old, was shot in the head.

  • Exactly.
I called 911. I finally asked if they needed to know my blood type.
That was the only question left.

  • Pedro Garciano Runner, bodybuilder, healthy eating.

Better than to rely on 911 is to be self sufficient. When seconds count, police is minutes away.
And sometimes they show up only to take pictures of you at the crime scene.

Rogers Park Station

...there's still time to see the exhibit exhibit at the society's storefront at 7363 N. Greenview...

    Rogers Park Station
One of the best things about my work day is the ease of the commute. I walk one block east to the Metra station and ride south to the terminus at Ogilvie Station, which takes about 20 minutes. Then I walk a few blocks east to City Hall.

  • Who did you contact about this and what sort of responses did you receive?

  • I think all buildings and all building entrances should be smoke free. Outdoors, in areas people can easily avoid, I just don't see why smoke is such a problem. People are getting over-sensitive. It's no longer about freedom from inhaling smoke; it's now freedom from just smelling the scent of smoke.

Alderman Moore on WTTW "Pitfalls of Participatory Budget" 4/24/17

According to Moore PB gives "taxpayers" the decision on how to spend their local community tax dollars. Conversely, Moore's election criteria allows children as young as 16 who are ineligible to vote in public elections, and adults otherwise ineligible to legally vote in public elections, for what ever reasons, to do so. Those ineligible to vote would also include illegal and documented aliens who are not necessarily "taxpayers," and certainly 16 year old children are not self supporting "taxpayers" as Moore stated. In effect, like his absurd extreme support of continued expansion of our social safety net, Moore's desire is to run his own personal popularity contest with non contributing factions of the community at the expense of taxpayers. I hope Bill Morton runs against him. At least he appears to genuinely care about the community which is more than I can say for Moore.

  • Pedro Garciano Runner, bodybuilder, healthy eating.

PS. I'm talking about real elections, not pretend ones. You know, like local ones, those designed to make you believe that your opinion matters when all the deals have already been made behind closed doors.

  • PB is still. Not. An. Election.
