CivicLab analyzes 25th Ward TIFs

Over the past two years Civic Lab, 114 S. Aberdeen St., an organization working for social justice and civic engagement; the TIF Illumination Project; and likeminded activists have been offering workshops on various wards’ TIF districts.

Several weeks ago, it was the 25th Ward’s turn at a community meeting led by the Pilsen Alliance community group at the Rudy Lozano Library at 1805 S. Loomis St. The “illumination,” as CivicLab members call the workshops, was the 30th held by the organization.

Changes and delays on the Blue Line this weekend

Fri. 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sat and Mon. 3 to 4 a.m. Mon: Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the UIC-Halsted, Clinton, and LaSalle stations. Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Racine and Jackson, resulting in minor delays.
