855 W. Adams – Acosta Ezgur

855 W. Adams – Acosta Ezgur

On Monday, August 8, 2016, representatives from Acosta Ezgur, Fitzgerald Architects, and Crayton Advisors presented a proposed 168 ft (15-story) building along Peoria between Adams and Jackson (211 S. Peoria/855 W. Adams).

Height – The committee felt that the building as proposed is too tall at 168 ft. The group felt that 850 W Adams (90 ft) is a more reasonable comparison for height

Density – The building as proposed is denser than the large residential complex currently proposed for 845 W. Madison, yet 855 W. Adams would sit on a much smaller parcel.

Loud Music @ Union Park Unacceptable

Dear West Loop Family:

If you were home last night, I am certain you heard the music from Union Park. We live at Washington & Throop and had to leave our home at 9PM on a Sunday because the music was THAT LOUD in our condo even w/ the windows CLOSED. Even worse, we have two small children and every other word was F---.

I made two calls to 911 (as suggested by the 311 Operator), which I am certain the police didn’t respond to because the music continued for another hour...

I just spoke with a very understanding staff member at Alderman Burnett’s office and she said I was the 3rd call this morning. She was kind enough to give me his PERSONAL EMAIL and suggested all of us send him complaint.

His personal email is wburnett@cityofchicago.org
Or his phone is (312) 432-1995

Please take 30 seconds to let him know the noise level and language was not acceptable, and will not be tolerated again.

Thank you!

FYI regarding my calls to 911 that is mentioned in the article...I called 311 first and THEY told me to call 911. I was very uncomfortable doing so as it wasn't an emergency but I was just doing what I was told.

  • West loop realist Teacher political operative

Walter Burnett is an ex con(armed robbery) pardoned by Jim Edgar. He is Rahms lap dog and takes money from every developer in town especially sterling bay. He is rumored to be under investigation but I'm sure that this corrupt justice department will let it pass as long as he does Rahms bidding. He could care less about anyone or anybody in this community. He will not help you. The idiots continue to reelect him and this is what you get.
