    The Ultimate Guide to 2016 Movies in the Parks
    There's much to love about the Chicago Park District's Movies in the Park program: They're (mostly) kid friendly, free for your viewing pleasure, and spread throughout the city all summer.
    http://www.chicagomag.com

  • Jaye Els, I've got a couple years on you -- and love old movies, but I think the Hayes Code was bogus. Also, I'm not saying The Dark Knight is not a good movie. I didn't like it, I fundamentally object to its premises, but it has many quality attributes, not the least of which is Ledger's scary performance. I just think it's inappropriate for the city's main free outdoor, everybody-oriented series.

  • Now we have names;

    "Devil White People"
    And
    "StupidRacisit Honky"
    In the mix of this thread. Wtf.

    Who calls themselves that... Wow! Some serious issues out there ! Scary and you can keep thumbing down all day long if it completes you....

Need to hire Photoshop pro for several lessons

I am a total noob to Photoshop and am willing to pay someone to get me started and help design a workflow since I use hundreds of photos on a daily basis for report writing. I'll also need to migrate photos out of iPhoto, and we're talking a lot of photos. This will be a several session employment, I'm guessing around 4-6, maybe more. Please message me if you are interested, thanks.

Shooting at Irving Park Liquors?

Couldn't sleep, heard a noise in the alley and looked out to see several police cars outside of Irving park liquor store blocking off intersection of Irving + Elston (which closed at 2 am I think). For better or for worse, decided to download a police scanner app. Sounded like a shooting there? mentions of victim taken to hospital,weapon recovery search, etc- can't confirm related to this specific incident but multiple calls about shots fired in and around the area as well. Anyone know where to find more info?

  • Isn't this the same liquor store that's had similar incidents ?

  • I was not blaming the cops, but there should be a better way to block off a street for 3 hrs. In that time streets and san. could have brought a truck and dropped a bunch of horses. Not saying I know the answers, but shots fired, or a woman calling for help, sounds like an emergency to me. And a fire truck should not be tied up for 2 hrs waiting for the police.
