Missing Dark Brown/Black & White Cat

My cat, Louis, went missing 2 weeks ago. Male, approx. 6 years old.

He's very dark brown (almost black) with white underside and paws. He has a little white above his nose and subtle stripes on his side.

I'm offering a reward. Please call if you see him or have him. He is greatly missed.

Irving Park United Methodist Church will be installing a large blackboard along the side of our buildling. We are inviting the community to share ideas on the blackboard, as well as quotations, questions and challenges on the issues that are our focus this fall. Please be respectful, and join us in this project of community conversation.

Along with the chalkboard, we will be hosting events and conversations all fall focusing on topics of great concern in our society and what we can do to improve the picture.

August 31 is Worker Justice -- with a speaker at our 10:00 am worship service and afterwards over refreshments. Rochelle Parker comes from "Alive Chicago."

Racism. We will show "The Help" in the sanctuary on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 pm. It is FREE and rated PG-13. On Sunday, September 6 at 3:00 pm, we have a panel of community and religious leaders who will be with us to share some of their own story and respond to questions and comments from the audience. We will be in the downstairs Fellowship Hall and everyone is welcome. Please enter on Grace. Childcare will be provided.

LGBTQI Rights. On Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 pm we will show "The Bible Tells Me So" in the sanctuary with a discussion afterwards for anyone who wishes to stay. This movie discusses what the Bible says (and doesn't say) about homosexuality . On Sunday, September 14 we will have a special speaker from CLASP -- Chicago LGBT Asylum Support Program -- who will share his story in worship, and at 3:00pm will show the movie, "Inlaws & Outlaws," which tells the true stories of couples and singles, both gay and straight. From the DVD case: "We love. We lose. We all want to belong. And we are all making this up as we go along."
