Be careful!! Fly ball Foul hit my car on Rockwell-Kerry Woods Field

Hey folks,

Be careful out there. I was driving on Rockwell while the field was in play in today and a fly ball foul hit sailed out of the field and hit the roof of my car. Then when the ball hit the pavement the car in the oncoming lane swerved to miss it and almost hit me. Crazy huh? It then bounced back in front of me and I think I ran over it. Anyway I would be alert when driving there!!!

BTW it looks so nice now in Clark Park with that field, the boat house and the soccer field, don't you think?

  • Hey Michelle becareful out there. About 5 mins ago there was such a strong lightning/thunder that shook my pup and I. Scary loud!

Endodontist Needed - Must be Excellent

Thank you all for your excellent recommendations, NW-sider - I loved my former endodontist and he did a great job on the 3 I've had - I don't think he did anything wrong - it is either that the root in this tooth goes very high up into the jaw and he intentionally left a bit in as I believe he mentioned (I am sure I am getting the specifics wrong here) - as my current denti st indicates - (it got infected and thus my recent visit to the dentist for antibiotics - I was in excruciating pain) - or perhaps the crown on my tooth needs to be resized - but that is what I will consult for with the chosen endodontist. My dentist did give me a referral to one of the dentists named here after I posted so I will check it out

  • So sorry you're dealing with all that. Hope you are able to get relief ASAP.

Dentist Recommendations

Anyone have recommendations on a good dentist? Anyone have feedback or reviews on Irving Park Family Dentistry?

Thanks

  • A little ways from you, but I have seen Dr. Kare Izzo on Cumberland for years. She is AMAZING. Staff is fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough!

  • JJ Old Irving Park

I don't any that deal with wookies, sorry, please don't tear my arms off

  • I go to City Smiles - 3800 Pulaski. They are wonderful. Modern equipment, pleasant and efficient people, not pushy about work I don't want done (as in, I'd rather spend money on new power tools instead of straightening my teeth, given I am not young). I highly recommend them.

Flies

I'm sure this has already been addressed but anyone else having a lot of flies this summer in your yard? Anything good out there to keep them away?

  • Neighborhood Dad 25-year resident of North Center/St Bens/Lincol...

The "fly bags" work great. But place them away from where you like to sit outside. They are a bit smelly. You'll be shocked how many flies they catch in a short time. The bags are available at Ace as well.

  • Mrs. RRL North Sacramento homeowner for 15 years

This year has been unusual in the amount of flies we have, too!
