The money that pays for many scholarships for Little League in Humboldt Park is running out.

HPAC gave a lot of money to Little League for the scholarships, but the only fundraising source was the money that Riot Fest gifted to them before they got yanked out of our park. I know one year Riot Fest gave HPAC $10,000, and I think they did it two years in a row.

That's a lot of scholarships for kids (but somehow the money is almost gone...) but if not in HP at least the children in and around Douglas Park are getting some extra opportunities now that Riot Fest is there.

Lucky kids. Unlucky around here, I guess.

RCLL is a great community program and very affordable compared to other youth activities.

It is a misnomer to believe that this is only a summer activity. Clinics and practices are offered year round, including a skills clinic this Thursday the 19th at the HP fieldhouse for children ages 6-8. New players are very welcomed to attend, regardless of skill level.

Money for scholarships is a non-issue because no child will ever be refused due to financial reasons. If you know of a family who is interested but unable to pay, please have them reach out to RCLL.

    Thanks.
    .

  • HPAC and Maldonado are hurting the children! They pulled a funding resource, Riot Fest, that helped the neighborhood. Why? Because they are racists.

Bicyclist killed at Division and Sacramento

Bicyclist killed at Division and Sacramento
The collision of a bicycle and a Chevy Cruze turned fatal for a black male Wednesday evening at 10:38 p.m., according to a Chicago Police Department's News Affairs Officer. The 36-year-old driver of the car was headed north bound on Sacramento and the cyclist was west bound on Division when they collided.
    http://oururbantimes.com

  • Reason rider's skin tone is mentioned in this synopsis?

  • Good point, most likely because he's a victim, not the criminal. when black people commit crimes its just "police are looking for a man" and race is pathologically witheld to the point of misinformation. #abc7 news
